Furthermore, we\u2019re complimenting this commitment by producing our own energy from 100% renewable sources such as biomass energy, hydropower, geothermal energy and solar power. This was one of the main targets set by the company in its 2030 Climate Action Agenda, which outlines FGC\u2019s steadfast commitment to renewable energy over the coming years.<\/p>\n<p>The FGC\u2019s Agenda sets out the company\u2019s transition to majority renewable energy consumption. In 2019, we reduced our greenhouse gas emissions by 72% by purchasing green energy from renewable and certified sources. Now, in 2021, FGC will contract all of its energy from photovoltaic sources or, in other words, from solar power plants.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row us_custom_3930b760 height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-6 wpb_column vc_column_container columna_esquerra\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner us_custom_2dbf7b3f\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"g-cols wpb_row us_custom_4fb9e5a3 via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container has_bg_color\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner us_custom_81e56a3c\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_4fb9e5a3\" id=\"titulo_izq\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"titulo_izq\">\n<div class=\"numero\">2<\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\">Move to leave mark<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Now, we already take 242,000 private vehicles off the roads every day and save tons of CO2 into the atmosphere to move for a better present. This is the way. # Elcam\u00edSostenible<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"g-cols wpb_row us_custom_ec1e580b via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner us_custom_6df5ff99\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_77efbc79 has_text_color\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Various actions aimed at doubling the current supply of public transport as an effective measure for the fight against climate change and air pollution, and as a contribution to more sustainable mobility, are underway in FGC . These actions will increase the company&#8217;s current transport capacity from 120 million trips per year to more than 250, thus encouraging a real modal change and the transfer of users from the private vehicle to collective public transport. They are all key projects for a strategy to decarbonize mobility, decontamination and decongestion of cities and urban environments.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, FGC has a transport capacity of 120 million trips per year on the metropolitan and Lleida-La Pobla lines. During 2020, more than 3,500 points in the stations of the metropolitan lines were replaced, as well as all the outdoor lighting of the Operations Center (COR) and the Center for Fixed Installations (COIF), both located in Rub\u00ed. These projects are an excellent example of how the circular economy works: we achieve carbon neutrality by taking advantage of forestry clearing to produce treated pellets or chips for the biomass facilities.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re also working to eliminate oil as an energy source in the buildings that make up the Vall de N\u00faria complex by installing a geothermal energy system.
