What should I do if my transport card is not working?

Magnetic Cards
Magnetic-strip cards not eligible for replacement or compensation include those:

  • Damaged by the user.
  • Expired and partially used.
  • Valid and partially used.
  • Loss or theft of a magnetic stripe card (including personalized cards).

Only magnetic stripe transport tickets that do not work due to a malfunction of the validation machines are replaced.

T-mobilitat
If the T-mobilitat card stops working, you can request a duplicate from the T-mobilitat Service and Information Center (CAI), T-mobilitat kiosks, or FGC Customer Service Centers (CAC), by prior appointment.
This duplicate, considered as an exchange, is free as long as the card stops working due to reasons beyond the user’s control and it is still under warranty. If the card is not under warranty (five years), or the user has damaged it, you must pay for a new one. In any case, you will receive a duplicate with the tickets it contained before being damaged.
